What made me the happiest this year?

It might’ve been “you”. And I feel I owe you an explanation.

With the economy in decline and the future looking uncertain, I think now is a good time to reflect on why we do what we do.

I don’t believe I would’ve stayed in the creative industry if it were only about making a living. While it’s rewarding to meet the needs of a production, the real joy comes from the process itself—the fascinating people and experiences that come with creating documentaries, Broadcast TV and video projects.

Maybe we had a personal chat about our families while driving to the next location, or perhaps we spent long shooting days together across Finland, ending the day with a family dinner at our place. Maybe it was the mix of exhaustion and satisfaction after shooting race days for “The Amazing Race Finland”. Or maybe it was as simple as receiving an email saying, “This was perfect, thank you!”

One of the most fulfilling moments this year was organizing the premiere of our first children's TV series for the Finnish Broadcasting Company. It was incredibly rewarding to see all of our contributors and their families from various cultural backgrounds enjoying the screening together. “Leikitään pihalla” at Yle Areena

In short, I’m more than excited to collaborate with you again—and also with those of you I haven’t yet had the chance to meet.

Next month, we are relocating our office to Roihupelto (Levytie 2A,00880 Helsinki), where we'll have our own corner in a massive studio space hosted by Fortress Soundworks, a major player in broadcast sound and post-production in Finland.

Background

I started our family business five years ago, focusing on heartfelt storytelling through documentaries and video productions. Recently, we've also been excited to offer production services for foreign companies and broadcasters interested in filming in Finland, such as ABC (Australia) and the Philharmonia Orchestra (UK).

This year, we’ve worked on projects for Finnish Broadcasting Company, *Amazing Race Suomi* (Moskito Television), York University (Canada) and Urheiluhallit.
